Moving along the river Chambal by boat, we documented active vulture and eagle nesting sites on vertical cliffs, observed crocodilians basking along sandbanks, and recorded diverse species of water birds belonging to the groups namely waders, cormorants, gulls, terns, and also Indian eagle owl and brown fish owl. The visit offered insight into how the Chambal’s geomorphology supports a layered community of raptors, reptiles, and river-dependent avifauna.
